JUNE 2014: The Borough is pleased to announce that, in conjunction with “Aidan’s Heart Foundation”, the Borough of Downingtown has installed two AED’s in Kerr Park. The first installation is on the Pennsylvania Ave. side of the restroom area, near the ball field; the second location is in the parking lot off of Wallace Ave. at the pedestrian bridge that leads to the “All Abilities Playground”.
We have been working with the Silva’s for many years on the “5K For Aidan J”. June 14th is the 4th anniversary of the event which is held in Kerr Park. This initiative was the idea of the Silva’s to make the Borough of Downingtown a “Heart Safe Community”, we thank them for their contribution. (for more info, visit www.aidansheart.org)
Kerr Memorial Park Fund
This fund was created through the generosity of Elizabeth Baldwin Fisher, whose 2003 estate was distributed to the Borough of Downingtown to benefit Kerr Memorial Park. The goal is to grow this initial endowment to a level sufficient to support the anticipated future operating, program, and capital needs of Kerr Memorial Park.
