Struble Trail

The Robert G. Struble Hiking and Biking Trail, a Chester County recreational facility, currently extends from Downingtown Borough to Marsh Creek State Park.  Picking up where Kardon Park's Lions' Trail ends, the Struble trail runs north following the former Pennsylvania Railroad bed.  CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO

Brandywine Trail

The Brandywine Trail is a multi-use trail system that connects various Borough Parks.  The Trail begins on East Church Street in Johnsontown Park, follows the Brandywine Creek northeast passing by the Municipal Government Center (Borough Hall), crosses Business Route 30 and enters Kerr Park.  Upon entry into Kerr Park, the Trail winds past the Kerr Park Concert Gazebo then crosses under and over Pennsylvania Avenue.  The Trail currently ends in the front section of Kerr Park, providing access to the ball fields, pavilions and other recreation areas of Kerr Park.

Recently the Borough applied for a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to extend the Trail through Kerr Park to the north, crossing Route 282 (Wallace Avenue) and connecting the Borough directly to the Chester County Struble Trail.  Another extension will link Kerr Park with the Roger Hunt Mill and Samuel Tabas Memorial Park at Manor Avenue and Race Street in the Borough by installing additional trail and a footbridge across the Brandywine Creek.
