- PECO Electric Restoration Information: Borough Residents: If your electrical panel was submersed in the recent flood, you will need a licensed electrician to provide any repairs and inspect your electric service to ensure it has been properly dried. You will also need a third party electrical inspector to place a UL sticker on your electrical panel prior to PECO turning your power back on. For third party electrical inspections call 215-244-1919 ask for Erin.
Gas Restoration Inspections Required By PECO Please contact Code Enforcement at 610-269-0344, ext. 208 to schedule the inspection. The following items need to be completed in order to obtain a passing inspection:
A qualified service contractor, such as a plumber or HVAC technician must be onsite at the residence or business for this inspection to be conducted by the Borough.
An air test of the gas system must be provided with a minimum of 3psi for 10 minutes (Inspector must witness this test)
Replace any submerged gas control valves.
Replace thermostats on gas water heaters that were submerged.
Wash/clean pilot and main burners on all affected appliances.
Clean and dry any internal gas lines of appliances.
- Any affected appliances must be disconnected and capped for the inspection.
