BOROUGH OF DOWNINGTOWN

PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Borough Council of the Borough of Downingtown will hold a public hearing at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Downingtown Borough Hall located at 4 W. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, Pennsylvania to consider and act on the conditional use application of Dr. John Riccardo regarding property owned by Lehr House, LLC, located at 361 and 363 East Lancaster Avenue, being tax parcel numbers 11-4-108 and 11-4-109, and zoned R-4. The Applicant seeks conditional use approval pursuant to Section 287-32.D(2) of the Borough Code to construct a 3,500 square foot medical office building with accessory parking and conditional use approval pursuant to Section 287-107.G(1) of the Borough Code to pay a fee in lieu of certain required parking.

A copy of the application is available for public inspection at Borough Hall during normal business hours. If any person who wishes to attend the meeting has a disability or requires an auxiliary aid, service or other accommodation to observe or participate in the proceedings, please contact Steve Sullins, Borough Manager at 610-269-0344 to discuss how those needs may be accommodated.

ZONING HEARING BOARD NOTICES (1)

NOTICE

The Zoning Hearing Board of the Borough of Downingtown, Chester County, PA, will meet on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at 7:30 p.m. at Borough Hall, 4 West Lancaster Avenue to consider:

Application 2016-001: Lehr House, LLC, owner of 361 & 363 E. Lancaster Ave. (R-4 Single-Family/Two-Family/Multifamily Residential District), for Variances to minimum Building Height [§287-48.J], Buffer Area [§287-48.K], and Buffering and Screening [§287-78]. Applicant may request other relief that may be necessary based on the evidence presented.

The Board may consider other matters as may properly come before it.

All who wish may attend and be heard.

If any person who wishes to attend the meeting has a disability and/or requires an auxiliary aid, service or other accommodation to observe or participate in the proceedings, please contact Stephen T. HOLIDAY TRASH PICK-UP SCHEDULE

Due to the Memorial Day holiday, Borough Offices will be closed on Monday, May 30.

Trash/recycling & bulk trash

will be collected on Wednesday, June 1st.


A COMMUNITY OUTREACH MEETING regarding the recently revised FLOOD INSURANCE RATE MAPS will be held on Wednesday, June 29th, 2016 at 6:00pm at the Downingtown Borough Hall Annex to discuss these FEMA-initiated changes and how they will affect property owners. (Those property owners affected were notified via mail on May 10. )

EAST END PARKING PERMITS
As of April 1, 2016 the Washington Avenue Municipal Parking Lot and the Jefferson Avenue Municipal Parking Lot will be permit parking only.  Permits are now available at Borough Hall between the hours of 8:30am - Noon and 2pm - 4:30pm. Only residents will be able to purchase permits for the Washington Avenue Lot.  Residents and businesses are able to purchase permits for the Jefferson Avenue lot.  They will be sold on a first come first serve basis, and only 1 permit per business or residence will be issued.  Details are on the applications, which can be downloaded below:
