On Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. prevailing time at Downingtown Borough Hall, 4 West Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335, the Downingtown Borough Council will conduct a public hearing to consider and take action on an ordinance amending the Code of the Borough of Downingtown, as amended, by adding Chapter 223, “Residential Certificates of Compliance,” creating an inspection and certification program for residential buildings prior to a change in ownership, and setting forth procedures, violations and penalties.
A copy of the ordinance may be examined and obtained for the cost thereof at Downingtown Borough Hall, 4 West Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, prevailing time, and certified copies are on file at the Chester County Law Library, 201 West Market Street, Suite 2400, West Chester, PA 19380, and at the Daily Local News, 250 North Bradford Avenue, West Chester, PA 19382.
