NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids will be received by the Borough of Downingtown, Municipal Government Center, 4 W. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, Chester County, PA 19335 until 1:00 p.m. prevailing time on Monday, June 24, 2013 for equipment rental as follows:
EQUIPMENT RENTAL (Equipment shall be bid on a 40 +/- hours with operators)
1 Mill; 48 in. minimum width
1 Roller; 8 – 10 ton
1 Roller; 2 – 5 ton
1 Paver; 8 ft. minimum width
2 Dump Trucks – 64,000 GVW or greater
Bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid, made payable to the Borough of Downingtown. Bids shall be on forms furnished by the Borough of Downingtown (PennDOT Form MS-963).
Bids shall be sealed and clearly marked “BID FOR EQUIPMENT RENTAL”,addressed
to Stephen T. Sullins, Borough Manager, Borough of Downingtown, Municipal Government Center, 4 W. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335. Bids received after 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013 will not be accepted.
Bids shall be opened and recorded at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Municipal Government Center.
The Borough reserves the right to (1) reject any or all bids or portions thereof; (2) advertise for new bids; (3) waive technical defects in the bids as is deemed in the best interest of the Borough; and (4) the contractor awarded the bid will be responsible for scheduling trucks to minimize down time.

TRASH/RECYCLING SCHEDULE CHANGE:
Due to the Memorial Day holiday, trash/bulk trash/recycling will be picked up on Wednesday, May 29.
